Hiep hiep hoera, het is alweer weekend! Hebben jullie nog leuke plannen? Ik hoop zaterdag (ik schrijf dit op vrijdag) naar de laatste film van de Hobbit te gaan met mijn familie, zondag lekker rustig thuis te zijn en maandag is lieve J jarig. Maar dat hoort officieel natuurlijk niet bij het weekend:-) Ik heb deze week veel blogs gelezen en aardig wat print-screentjes gemaakt van Instagram, maar toch vond ik niet veel blogs die het waard zijn gedeeld te worden. Dus dit keer een korte versie van Welcome to the Weekend. Lees en kijk ze!
Hip hip hooray, it’s the Weekend again! Do you have any fun plans? I’m hoping to go to the last Hobbit movie this Saturday with my family (I write this on Friday), have a quiet day at home on Sunday and Monday sweet J is celebrating her birthday! But that’s technically not the weekend anymore:-) I’ve read a lot of blogs this week and made quite some print-screens on Instagram, but I didn’t find much blogs worth sharing. So this time it’ll be a short Welcome to the Weekend. Have fun reading and watching!
Allereerst een heel leuk iets voor mij: zoals ik een tijdje terug al vertelde, heeft Sarah van 12 Twenty Seven me de afgelopen maand behoorlijk in het zonnetje gezet, met afgelopen woensdag het hoogtepunt. Waar ze normaal de advertenties van haar sponsors in haar zijbalk heeft staan, had ze nu de button van mijn site staan. Ze heeft veel getwitterd naar haar volgers over mijn artikelen, heeft mijn profiel op Instagram gedeeld en voor me gebeden, een maand lang. Ze heeft me echt helemaal in het zonnetje gezet en dat vind ik zo ontzettend lief! Sarah heeft een heel mooie website met veel volgers, dus ook dat is mooi- dat ze bij al die volgers reclame maakt voor mij. Als je klikt op het logo van haar site, ga je er naartoe. First of something very fun for me: as I mentioned a little while ago, Sarah of 12 Twenty Seven put me in the spotlight for the past month, with the total highlight this Wednesday. Where she normally has the ads of her sponsors, she now had the button of my site. She tweeted a lot to her followers about my articles, shared my profile on Instagram and prayed for me, for an entire month! She really totally put me in the spotlight, and I find that so incredibly sweet! Sarah has a lovely site with a lot of followers, so that’s nice too – her making me known to all these followers. Gretchen van Life Lived Beautifully schreef een artikel over Gods goedheid. En dan vooral over het ervaren van Gods goedheid als je het moeilijk hebt. Als je door diepe dalen gaat, pijn hebt, depressief bent, de wereld om je heen in ziet storten, hoe kun je dat dan nog rijmen met een goede God? KUN je überhaupt Gods goedheid zien als je lijdt? Gretchen of Life Lived Beautifully wrote an article about God’s goodness. Especially about experiencing Gods goodness when you’re having a hard time. When you go trough deep valleys, are in pain, depressed or see the world around you collapse, how can you still believe in a good God? Can you see Gods goodness AT ALL when you suffer? Zoals jullie weten volg ik het Advent leesplan van #shereadstruth. Ik vond vooral de woorden van een aantal dagen geleden erg mooi. De onderstaande tekst sprong er voor mij wel uit, omdat ik in dit opzicht graag op de Heilige Geest wil lijken: rustig en stil doen wat nodig is om Jezus bekend te maken als de Zoon van God en de Redder van de mensheid. As you know I’m following the Advent reading plan by #shereadstruth. I especially loved the words of a few days ago. The quote above really jumped out to me, because I would love to be like the Holy Spirit like this: calmly ad quietly doing what is nessesary to make Jesus known as the Son of God and the Saviour of mankind. Zo, dat was het alweer voor vandaag. Volgende week hoop ik weer wat meer te kunnen delen. En natuurlijk deel ik hopelijk maandag weer punten waar ik dankbaar voor ben. Een heel fijn weekend gewenst!
